The Birth story of my little princess

4D scan of baby at 7 months preggy

Baby J was bridged all along. Sitting like a little princess on my bladder for the whole 9 months. Her face is facing inwards towards my heart all along. I believe she finds comfort listening to mommy's heartbeat. There's no morning sickness and I do not have any extra ordinary cravings thoughout my entire pregnancy. How blessed. The gynae comfirms that I need a c-section instead of a natural delivery. Date was set and I was waiting patiently for the day to come.

It was 12-ish midnight on the 30th Oct 2009. I was sleeping and as usual, having the urge to pee. I rolled over to the edge of the bed and noticed there's a wet warm sensation down under. "Woops... I whispered to myself.. Did I accidentally pee-ed in my pants?!?". Lo and behold, as I stood up, warm water gushing out of me uncontrollably. Since I was pretty 1/2 asleep and 1/2 awake, I was in a state of shocked and wouldn't know what to do. *SILLY ME*. At that very moment, hubby was fast asleep outside the living room waiting for the washing machine to complete its washing cycle. My room door was closed tightly and I could remembered calling out really REALLY loud for him. From "DEAR" to "Dearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrie" to "LOUKONGGggggggggg" and out of frustration, I was actually Roaring for help. Its my roaring that woke him up :p

"Your water broke dear", said dear hubby.

Next, everything went on in a hazy dazy mode. I pee, changed and hubby drove us to the hospital. It was only when I step into the car that I came back to my senses. "Oh YESSSSssssssss we're seeing baby TODAY". We were both happily chatting in the car because I don't feel any pain at all. Thank GOD.

As we arrive at the waiting ward, nurse strapped me on the machine. I see contractions on the piece of paper but there's still no pain. 4 cm dilated and still no pain! AMEN to that :). Goody! The last I heard my gynaes..the both of them are on their way and I'm on my way to see my baby.

Papers were signed to proceed with the c-section and I was pushed into the OT at 3-ish am. Spinal block was administered and I was placed on the OT table like a piggy waiting to be butchered :p The gynes asked if I could feel anything. I said "NOTHING" and one of them said to me that they've actually started cutting me up :). We were chatting with the docs and in less than 10 minutes, I could hear the most melodious cry ever in my entire life. The gynaes brought her to me and tears of joy rolled down my eyes.

This is the baby that has been moving  and growing inside me for the whole 9 months. My 3.3kg bundle of joy was born on the 30th Oct 2009.
We named her Janice which means God Is Gracious. Yes HE is! :)
